How to place an order:
Making a purchase is simple. Just browse in the shop and add any items that you wish to buy to your basket, changing the number of items as required. After you have finished your selections, go to the "Checkout" section. You will then be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. Customers who have used littlelambwool.co.uk before should login using their username and password before commencing shopping
All the information on littlelambwool is accurate to the best of our knowledge. We will correct any errors as soon as they are brought to our attention. We provide colour names and descriptions to make your shopping experience as easy as possible. We try as hard as possible to ensure colour representation on littlelambwool.co.uk is as accurate as possible, but due to different monitor set ups, the colour that you see may not match exactly the actual colour of the yarn. If a product you have ordered is not as described, you may return goods to us in a complete and resaleable condition for a refund (please see Returns and Cancellations.)
Payment may be made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or debit card (Visa Debit, Maestro.). If you wish to pay by cheque, please contact us at email@example.com. Please allow 5 working days for a cheque payment to clear before goods are dispatched by us.
Your order is accepted once payment is received. You will receive a confirmation of your order by email.
Payments are made to Little Lamb Wool using the secure technology of Sage Pay, a division of Sage (UK) Limited and the largest independent payment service provider in the UK. All details are encrypted before transmission. Little Lamb Wool does not store any credit card details as all transactions are carried out on Protx secure servers.
For deliveries within the UK, goods are sent by Royal Mail 1ST Class delivery. UK postage is charged at £2.45 per order with Free UK delivery on orders over £30. See overseas orders for delivery outside the UK. We aim to fulfill orders within two working days of the order being placed and payment verified. Please allow 5 working days before chasing for an outstanding order. Should your item not be in stock we will email or phone you to let you know. You may wish to have your requested items back-ordered at that point, take part-delivery or cancel the order. If on backorder please allow between 10 to 28 days for delivery. Backordered items are charged at the time we process your main order. We do not accept responsibility for any delays caused by Royal Mail as these are out of our control.
Returns and Cancellations:
Customers located in the European Union have the right to cancel an order within seven working days after the day on which you receive the goods.
Should you wish to cancel your purchase within seven days, please contact us in writing, either by letter or by email. All goods must be returned unused and in a saleable condition. Any returned goods must be received back at Little Lamb Wool within 28 days of the original purchase date to qualify for a refund. Please return items to Little Lamb Wool, 3a The Fold, Wath Court, Hovingham, York, YO62 4NN. The cost of returning goods will be borne by the customer.
We cannot accept liability for returned goods lost or damaged during transit. You are advised to wrap the product carefully to avoid damage and to return goods by recorded delivery, registered post or by courier. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery.
We will then issue a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 5 days after we receive your return or 7 day cancellation notice. We retain the right to charge a 10% restocking fee to cover costs of refunds.
Where a 'free shipping' order is part or fully returned or part cancelled Little Lamb Wool reserve the right to charge shipping pro rata should the order value fall below the prevailing free shipping rate.
‘Sale’ items are non returnable and non refundable unless we have made an error.

If you need to exchange any item of your order, you must notify us in writing or by email within 7 working days of receipt of goods. Exchanges to another colour, size etc incur a 10% re-stocking and re-shipping fee, please enclose a cheque to this value made payable to Little Lamb Wool. In the unlikely event that you receive damaged goods, please notify us in writing or by email within 7 working days of receipt of goods. Goods will be re-dispatched on return of faulty items at no extra cost to you. Please include a description of the damage together with a copy of the original invoice.
If you are not happy with your purchase for whatever reason we offer a 30 days money back guarantee. Your statutory rights are not affected. Please advise us in advance of any goods to be returned. Please note that due to copyright reasons, we cannot accept books and magazines back for credit or refund. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 10% on orders if returned to us for any reason.
In these terms and conditions the following words shall have the meanings given in this section:
- “Goods” means any goods and/or material supplied by us to you and available for sale on this website.
- “Little Lamb Wool”, “Littlelambwool.co.uk”, “Us” or “We” means Sally Goodwill trading as Little Lamb Wool from 3a The Fold, Wath Court, Hovingham, York, Yo62 4NN
- "You” means the person, firm or company placing the order in the terms set out herein.
VAT (Value Added Tax) where charged is applied at 20%. This is included in the advertised price for each item. Magazines and books are exempt from VAT. Hand knitted items knitted in childrens sizes are exempt from VAT
We are a UK based company. All items on our site are priced in Pounds Sterling and you will be billed in Pounds Sterling. This means that the amount you actually pay will vary depending upon the exchange rate at the time your transaction is processed.
We will be delighted to complete orders to be dispatched outside the United Kingdom. As a guide, postage to the EU will be based on £5.00 postage and packaging and £10.00 for the rest of the world. Please note that maximum weight for standard Airmail is 2kg. If your total order weighs more than this we will contact you to make further arrangements with regards cost of sending the package. If you wish to place an order with us that you believe could be over 2kg please feel free to contact use firstname.lastname@example.org prior to placing an order. Import duties and/or additional taxes or expenses incurred due to complying with foreign regulatory requirements or laws are the customers responsibility. Payment of any such duties and/or taxes in addition to our price including VAT and the cost of delivery are the customers responsibility.
